Church-Centered

"The church lies at the very center of the eternal purpose of God.  It is not a divine afterthought.  It is not an accident of history.  On the contrary, the church is God's new community.  For his purpose, conceived in a past eternity, being worked out in history, and to be perfected in a future eternity, is not just to save isolated individuals and so perpetuate our loneliness, but rather to build his church, that is, to call out of the world a people for his own glory." - John Stott

As redeemed believers, we are now in Christ through faith.  In Christ, I am now a child of God, adopted into his family.  We are members of the household of God.  Being in Christ means being in Christ with others who are in Christ.  I belong to God and I belong to my brothers and sisters.  I am not autonomous, but a person-in-community.  This is my identity.  This is our identity.

Jesus came to create a People (not just individuals) who would live under his authority, and therefore demonstrate his workmanship.  This is best demonstrated as we love one another, declaring and demonstrating the Gospel to one another and the watching world.  We are to be kind to, bear burdens for, forgive, show hospitality to, pray for, encourage, build up, submit to, comfort, exhort, welcome, instruct, and serve one another.  We can not demonstrably love one another if we are not in relationship with each other. If we truly believe that our identity is interdependent with each other, we will love the Body as we love ourselves.

church gathering

A time when the entire family comes together to collectively worship, proclaim, and demonstrate Jesus Christ.

We meet every Sunday morning at the Neighborhood Center on Remmet. People begin to arrive at 10:30 for coffee and snacks, after which we have a time of worship which includes songs, prayer, and teaching centered on God's Word. During this time child care is provided for all children, although school-aged children have the opportunity to participate in the time of worship together with the adults. Simultaneous Interpretation is also provided from English to Spanish and vice-versa throughout the morning. Dress on Sunday morning varies. We tend to be more casual, but it's up to you!

Lord's supper

Every 3rd Sunday of the Month, we take Communion as a part of the service to remember what Christ has done for us, is doing for us, and will do for us. Immediately following the service we celebrate and enjoy the fellowship we have with Jesus and each other by sharing a church-wide pot-luck meal.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share with others. Everyone's participation is desired, but if finances prevent you from participating, please CONTACT US and the church can provide assistance as needed.

collective prayer

Prayer is a privilege. It is an amazing and unparalleled opportunity that God grants us, but unfortunately, it is often taken for granted. Believing in the power of prayer, we seek to be a community that would "pray without ceasing" and "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us." (I Thess. 5:16-18)
